Congratulations Khalid Jatoi!
Many customer service stories involve fixing things that go wrong.
However helping customers with a problem not of your making demonstrates an excellent service culture.
This was the case when Khalid Jatoi of the Ventura Inn at Auckland Airport helped John and Margaret Higgins.
Margaret Higgins explains:
"We came back from an overseas trip late at night to find that our car had a flat battery.
Khalid went out of his way to get his own car and try jumper leads even though he was busy at reception.
When that didn't work he rang AA for us then provided us with refreshments while we waited - he wouldn't take any payment.
He even printed off a map and explained how to get on the motorway north as we were heading up to my sisters place at Whangarei"
Margaret says she has lost count of the number of people she has told about Khalid's "awesome service".
