Congratulations Lisa McPherson!
A sophisticated crisis management plan is a vital part of a good business.
As well as ensuring proper procedures are followed when the unexpected happens, it also serves to reassure clients they are dealing with a professional organisation.
As Kim Buckley explains, owner of K9 to 5 Doggie Day Care and Grooming Parlour Lisa McPherson puts her clients, and of course their owners, first at all times!
"Lisa she has always gone out of her way to ensure the welfare and fun of my dog, even dropping her off at my workplace at the end of the day when I can't get away from work. But today when we arrived and she thought my dog may have contracted Kennel Cough (a highly contagious virus) from her premises she really showed just how professional she is. She immediately sent me home with my dog to seek advice from the Vet. It was in fact not Kennel Cough and only a chest infection which was not contagious and not likely to have been caught from other dogs. Lisa in the meantime had been straight onto the phone calling all her clients from the past week to enquire into the health of their dog so as to find the possible cause of the problem. She then closed her premises for 2 days to allow for a full cleaning so to not cause re infection. This will have been not only costly for her but she will have also lost quite a lot of revenue plus she will have had to continue to pay wages to her staff. She also rang later that day to find out how my dog was and to let me know of the steps she had taken. I think this shows an incredible amount of sincerity and professionalism. It gives me great confidence in her and her business. K9 to 5 was founded just this year and I sincerely hope she continues as she is doing such a fantastic job."
