Congratulations Jade Hersom!
23 year old Jade Hersom has worked for Zentra Hair Design in Hamilton for four years. She was nominated for a KiaOraMai Awesome Service Award because of the sensitive and caring way she dealt with one of her younger customers.
Tracy Trigg explains:
"My eleven year old daughter decided to get her hair cut short for the first time in her life. She went to Jade with a picture of what she wanted. Jade understood how momentous this was for Katie and was great, taking time to talk to her about the style and things she should consider, like how the long fringe might look great but would drive her nuts! She also took the time to find other pictures to show her how it might look when not stylised. She then cut Katie's hair in stages shortening it gradually to ensure Katie hadn't changed her mind. Finally she took time to show Katie some tricks for achieving different styles with her new look. The result was a very happy eleven year old with a very grownup hair cut and lots of trust and confidence in her hairdresser. I think Jade has just gained a new customer for life!"
