Congratulations Shalini Anjaiya !
Shalini Anjaiya from The French Art Shop in Auckland was nominated for the fantastic service she provided a customer who was after a particular gift he had seen advertised.
What makes the story even more impressive is the fact that this great customer experience started with a telephone phone call.
Alan MacKenzie explains:
"The reason that I have nominated the person above is for the outstanding service she afforded me last week. I spotted a small advert in the VIVA supplement and decided to make a telephone purchase. My call was answered by a bubbly enthusiastic person who instantly knew the product I was referring to and could talk knowledgeable about product. I explained that it was to be a gift to my daughter who lives in Sydney. The product was a beautiful French box of chalks for sketching which the French are known for. I paid by Amex and the time was around five in the afternoon. The next day I was so taken back that a courier delivered the said parcel before mid day. The cost was only $5.00 - great service. I was so excited to look at the chalks and when I opened the delivery parcel was meet by my order beautifully gifted wrapped in gold paper and not only that but wrapped in bubble wrap with a cardboard protector already for me to post, also in the parcel. Shalini had taken the time to include dozens of catalogues of other French artists products. I was so impressed by the great service and telephoned Shalini to thank her so very much for her kindness. I enjoy shopping and when you meet someone in retail that loves what they do and goes that extra mile for you it's a shop you will not forget and go back to. I would just like to conclude that I am going back there to purchase Christmas gifts. If only all retail store employed people like her I’m sure retail stores would benefit in their sales."
Congratulations Shalini Anjaiya - a worthy winner of a KiaOraMai Awesome Service Award!
