Congratulations Natalia Pink!
Auckland woman Jan Hurley says many sales assistants shy away from serving her and her disabled son.
But as she explains, Overland Footwear's Natalia Pink was a wonderful exception.
"We visited Overland looking for a pair of shoes for our son who is confined to a wheelchair and finds it difficult to get shoes to fit because of his narrow foot. Natalia approached us (often we get ignored) and we showed her the style of shoe that Jon liked but we were unsure of the correct size. Together we made a rough guess and Natalia said that there was nothing up in the shop but there might be something suitable in their storeroom. She explained that it would take her five minutes or so to check it out so we went off for a coffee. When we returned she produced the shoe we liked in two sizes and she had also brought up another shoe of a similar style. Our son chose the shoe that he liked and Natalia suggested an innersole which helped to get a firmer fit; so the purchase was made. We came away feeling that we had received awesome service. The shop was quite busy but Natalia didn't shy away from serving us initially and then she went the extra mile to assist us find a pair of shoes that were suitable. We think that Natalia deserves recognition for her efforts."
