"I would like to recognise the good service I had from Peter at Kings Plant Barn in, Takapuna. Late one Saturday afternoon I was served by a young man named Peter. Peter answered my many and varied questions about plants, planting, etc. In my list of requirements was a gift voucher but when I went to get it on Sunday to put with the card for a friend's birthday I could not find it. In my many questions to Peter this was forgotten. When I rang the store I was able to speak with Peter who immediately knew who I was and said he would put the voucher in the mail to me that night. I told him I needed it by Wednesday at the latest. True to his word the voucher arrived in the mail on Tuesday along with an apology note (though I think the fault was mine because I kept up a barrage of questions) and also Peter said he was hoping that the voucher had arrived in time for the reason I require it. So often these days people say they will do something but don't but Peter did along with answering my (dumb?) questions cheerfully and without making me feel I was stupid or ignorant. This may not seem a big deal but it was to me. Peter made me feel happy that there are young men and women going about their jobs with a cheerful willingness and good attitude in this world of doom, gloom and knocking. I think it would be great if Peter was recognised with this award."
