Congratulations Emma Hollick!
Excellent customer service is sometimes more noticable - or appreciated - than at times of stress.
Flight Centre customer Gary Pynenburg nominated Emma Hollick for a KiaOraMai Awesome Service Award for the sensitive way she dealt with urgent travel plans.
"After my sister's sudden death and a harrowing couple of days obtaining emergency passports, we turned up at the Flight Centre at 7 o'clock at night. There were two consultants on duty and Emma was assisting one of them to solve an I.T. problem. When she finished the phone rang and she took the call explaining that one of the other consultants would be with us ASAP. When she finished the call she signaled for us to come over. She then explained that she was supposed to finish at 5.30pm but because of the I.T. problem she had been unable to leave. We explained that we needed to get four people to Australia the next day; we needed internal Australian flights (2 return 2 one way), rental car, insurance for elderly parents, accommodation and a Visa. Emma listened intently then tapped on her computer keys and provided us with everything that we had asked for. Not unexpected you might think... but wait there's more. She also had the forethought to arrange wheelchair assistance at all the airports (something that we had not even considered but proved indispensible). We left the store at about 8.30pm with all our required documentation, with separate copies for our parents (travelling with us one way), and copies for our kids (staying home). Emma's calmness, knowledge, pleasant attitude made a difficult time almost pleasant, we thanked her at the time but feel that she went well beyond what might be expected of a normal travel consultant."
Congratulations to Emma Hollick of Flight Centre, West City, Auckland: A worthy winner of a KiaOraMai Awesome Service Award!
