Congratulations Amie Morgan!
Amie Morgan of Cycle City in Auckland was nominated by a customer who was impressed with her helpfulness, product knowledge and general high standard of service.
Carolyn Keber explains:
"We called into Cycle City on the off-chance that they had some pannier bags for our bikes as I had unsuccessfully tried to buy them at another bike shop. Amie showed us all of their range and thoroughly explained all their different features and then even took our choices out to our bikes to see which ones fitted on our bikes. Throughout she was very patient and extremely helpful and immensely knowledgeable about the products that she was selling as well as very friendly. She made us feel that nothing was too much effort. We bought a pannier bag and then starting asking about City/Cruiser bikes. Amie showed us all their different models and told us all about the pros and cons of each one. Even though she knew that we weren't buying a bike it was no trouble to her to still explain everything to us. We left the store feeling that we had had a very pleasant shopping experience. This certainly makes a great change from 90% of the sales assistants in other stores - cycle stores as well as most retail stores. Even though this isn't a spectacular story I feel if most sales people were like Amie shopping would be a much better experience. But sadly the vast majority of sales people make you feel like they are doing you a favour by serving you. Amie was the complete opposite of this and when I buy my next bike soon I know which store I will be buying it from. She made shopping very pleasant. "
Postscript: Since making the nomination Carolyn returned to Cycle City and purchased a bike from Amie.
