Congratulations Blair Irwin!
The customer service at the country's service stations - or the lack of it at many - has been the subject of public debate recently.
However as Nikki Hume explains, customer service on the forecourt is alive and well in the Southland town of Winton at Irwin Motors:
"Blair, Robyn and their staff provide fantastic, friendly, prompt and courteous service at all times. They always offer to fill your petrol, are willing to look at any mechanical problems immediately and offer a service second to none. They offer to deliver your vehicle to your door before and after repair. They have bailed us out quickly and efficiently when we have broken down and had punctures. My husband is a dairy vet and after one puncture on the way to an emergency had leave his car on the side of the road after getting a lift with a farmer. Irwins came out, repaired the puncture and delivered the car back to his work. After seven years of receiving excellent service we believe they and their team should get the recognition they deserve. Their awesome service is a real asset to our local rural community."
