Congratulations Dave Smithson!

While horror stories about cost overruns, delays in completion and general stress related to building houses abound, Dave Smithson of Homecreators Homes was nominated for a KiaOraMai Awesome Service Award by a client for delivering outstanding service during the building of his Paraparaumu home.

Client Wayne Pelser explains:

"I moved over from South Africa about 2 years ago. One Sunday afternoon my wife and I took a drive around Paraparaumu and looked at all the new houses for sale. I came up to this one house for sale from Homecreators and met up with Bernadette from Homecreators. We spoke and I told her my situation and that I was looking maybe to build. She took down my details and she got Dave Smithson to contact me. Dave and I setup a time to meet and ever since then I have been amazed by the excellent and professional service that I have received from Dave and HomeCreators. Dave had plans drawn up to the type of house I wanted and he gave me the total amount I would pay to purchase a place that they would build for me. I was turned down by many banks and brokers as I was not entitled to a 95% mortgage loan. So I left the whole buying a house story. 9 months down the line I phoned up Dave again and Dave was as always professional and we looked again at building the house but this time reducing some of the things in the house. I once again got told that no one would give me a 95% mortgage loan. So I stopped the whole process again. That’s when I come into contact with Martin Ford a Mortgage Broker who was very professional at what he does and Martin helped me get a mortgage loan that would able me to build our first new home. Martin Ford spoke to the Sovereign and they were prepared to give me 80% of the loan. Once again Dave Smithson took his business to the next level. He would help me with the other 15% mortgage loan that I needed. Now I would have 2 mortgages. I worked out everything and everything added up. Dave Smithson was sent from God. Now that everything was in place Dave gave me one more reason why his company is such a top and professional company. His promised us that they would have the house built in time for us to move in before Christmas. We signed on the dotted line on the 11 September 2009 and on the 11 December 2009 we moved into our newly build home. Homecreators LTD still gave us the opportunity to choose what we wanted in the house, colour options and appliances. That was awesome since we had never done this before. From the time they started building I have been to site every day to see the progress. Ben Smithson and Jeremy Smithson were the two guys I was dealing with from now on. They always kept me in the loop, showed their professionalism and why Homecreators is such an awesome company. That’s why Dave Smithson and HomeCreators LTD need to be recognised with an awesome service award as they went out of their way to help us. Thanks Dave Smithson and HomeCreators LTD."
